MICROSOFT OFFICE APP PARTNERS WITH LG, SONY AND OTHER ANDRIOD OEMs.
Microsoft announced earlier today a new Phone Companion application for Windows 10, which will work on Android, iOS and Windows Phone handsets. In addition, the Redmond-based company confirmed Cortana will arrive on Android and iOS platforms as well.
Well, it looks like Microsoft is not done with the news for today, as the company has just announced it has signed new partnerships with no less than 20 companies, that will see some of the Redmond's apps and service being included on Android tablets.
The list of 20 new partners announced by Microsoft include both global and local OEMs, such as Sony, LG, Haier, Positivo and Wortman.
Having already signed similar deals with Samsung, Dell and other OEMs, earlier this year, Microsoft is now expanding the partnership to more companies and more products.
In total, there are 31 partners that will offer Android tablet pre-installed with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive and Skype.
According to Microsoft, these apps and services will be available on a new LG tablet that hasn't been named, while Sony will included them on the Xperia Z4 tablet in the next 3 months.
